50 Years of Springfield

We are thrilled to be celebrating our 50th anniversary and have taken the opportunity to reflect on how it all started and how far we have come.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Looking Back

Founded by Ken Britner in 1973, Springfield started life as a humble caravan manufacturing business. As the demand for these caravans quickly grew, Ken moved on to manufacturing and supplying stackable jackleg and wheeled units.

Rapid growth and increased demand created the need for Springfield to move to a larger factory in Merton Bank Road, St Helens, which very quickly expanded from just one unit to three!

Fifty years later, Springfield is now a leading manufacturer of high-quality modular buildings, supplying temporary and permanent structures to the healthcare, education, and commercial sectors.

Notable Projects

Over the past five decades, we have built lasting relationships with clients who have come to trust and rely on our products and services. We have had the pleasure of working on some rather interesting and exciting projects, including:

• A Mortuary: We worked to deliver an extension to a mortuary at a Coroner's Court!

• Chester Zoo: Chester Zoo appointed us to supply a sixteen-module building to provide a learning resource building for local children on day visits to the Zoo. This included three classrooms and a wide range of complementary facilities.

Record Turnover

Thanks to our admin team's exceptional hard work, we have achieved a record turnover and profit with the same number of staff we had four years ago!

A Celebration to Remember

To celebrate our 50th anniversary, we hosted a party for our valued employees, customers, and suppliers to thank them for helping us get to where we are today.
