Diane Rajcza 40 Year Springfield Work Anniversary

Here at Springfield, we’ve always been proud to have a loyal, long-serving employee history with many craftsmen and office employees working with us for many, many years. Diane’s record is right up with the best of them and has now been with us for over 40 years, joining in August 1980.

Incredible when you know that Diane only started as temporary 6-week cover!

She had worked with another local St Helen’s Company as an accounts clerk but when they planned a factory move to Bradford, Diane chose to stay in the area and began the search for a new job.

She responded to an ad in the local Job Centre and following an interview with Ken Britner, our founder was appointed as cover for the current accounts clerk who was recovering from an accident.

However, Ken was so impressed with her attitude and application he decided to keep Diane on to help with the growing demands on the Admin facility.

Her first role was to come to terms with the revolutionary Kalamazoo one writing accounts system, computers were still something you only saw on “Tomorrow’s World”

Diane has subsequently been instrumental in the introduction of many improvements in the business including: 

• The introduction of electric Typewriters (It was a long time ago!)
• A CAD system to drive efficiencies in our planning department.
• A record system to facilitate a visual update of the growing fleet of hire units
• The implementation of our ISO accreditation

These listed are amongst many other innovations and improvements.

Diane’s long experience and understanding of the business has also enabled her to become a valuable member of the sales team, working with clients to explain the extensive range of choices available in a Springfield build and take full advantage of our planning and design services.

Diane has no intention of leaving anytime soon and will continue to make a valuable contribution to the ongoing success of Springfield Mobile Limited.
