Offsite construction methods offer a wide range of applications for businesses looking for a cost-effective solution to expansion. With over 40 years of experience within the industry, we have perfected our process in creating bespoke units for our clients, striving to meet their specific requirements. Our approach comes parallel with the wide variety of building types which we offer, with certain buildings being better suited for certain roles.
Portable cabins are one of these such buildings. The wide applications of this building type married with our offsite techniques makes it the perfect solution for sustainable expansion. But for any of our potential clients who do not know what a portable cabin is, we thought in our latest blog post we would put together a comprehensive guide to highlight its distinct advantages.
What is a portable cabin?
A portable cabin is a self-contained building which has been constructed offsite and is ready to use upon delivery. We put together these stand-alone cabins in our ISO-approved workshop, allowing them to be customised to the client’s will. Our cabins can also be changed or added to at a later date to meet the needs of your business.
What are the advantages of a portable cabin?
The fact these self-contained cabins are put together offsite means they benefit from the advantages of offsite techniques. In the controlled environment of our warehouse, buildings can be produced at a much faster speed than if you were to opt for traditional methods. One of the reasons for this is that we are not affected by weather conditions. Our warehouse environment also means we can recycle more of the materials we use, making the final product much more environmentally friendly.
In addition to the environment in which they are created, portable cabins also offer unrivalled advantages to businesses themselves. If you are restricted to a certain time or budget constraint, these buildings are the perfect solution. Our offsite methods mean that the building is delivered much quicker, and at a much more competitive price. Once delivered, we would only need a short time on site to set the building up. So, if you are working to a short deadline, these buildings offer a fast expansion solution and is the primary reason why they are so useful to schools or expanding businesses.
Here at Springfield, we believe that delivering a bespoke service is the most important part of our construction process. Our portable cabins therefore come fully customisable, from the windows to the roofing, from the external cladding to the internal finishes; we strive to meet our client’s specifications. No matter what the challenge, our team is more than prepared to find a solution.
Hiring a portable cabin
This level of flexibility also extends to how you can purchase your portable cabin. Although you can buy one of our cabins outright – either tailor-made or choosing from our current stock, we do also offer an adjustable hiring scheme. We offer two primary types of contracts, a client-based contract where you decide on the contract period, anywhere between three months and five years, and an open-ended contract with no fixed length.
Both hiring options provide those on a tight budget an affordable solution to their expansion problem. Paired with the fantastic advantages that come with purchasing a portable cabin, the bespoke service we offer here at Springfield provides our clients with a custom-made solution.
