We relish the opportunity to show any interested parties more about the offsite processes here at Springfield. As such, it was our privilege to welcome year 11 students from St Helens College for an exclusive tour of our facilities.
Here was the college’s official report of the students’ day:
Our year 11 students had a fantastic opportunity to visit St Helens based, portable building manufacturer, Springfield Mobile LTD. Where they were given an all exclusive tour of the facilities, and a behind the scenes look at their work processes in action.
The visit was arranged as part of their City & Guilds qualification - level 2 Technical Certificate in Construction and Maintaining the Built Environment, which gave students the perfect insight into life in the industry.
The students were able to see the process and construction of bespoke modular and portable buildings, which helped them relate their studies to real world, industry processes.
Construction tutor, Chris Lee, commented: “A big thankyou to Springfield Mobile LTD for showing us around their facilities. The trip was a great opportunity for the students to extended their learning outside of the classroom and to see an establishment similar to where they could be working in the future.”
We would like to give a huge thank you to St Helens College and the students who attended the tour.
