Making Complicated, Simple – From Placing Your Order to Delivery to Site

The prospect of acquiring a modular building can be quite daunting it is not something, you do every day! There are so many unknowns and potential for disaster that it is clearly a difficult time for anyone made responsible for the project.  

Here at Springfield, we are acutely aware of the apprehension some of our clients may have when embarking on the project but can assure anyone anxious about the process that we take all the risks out for you. How? – Read on. 


From your very first contact with Springfield, you will be allocated a Project Manager who will then be your single point of contact and with you every step of the way. Your Project Manager will be industry experienced and firstly identify your precise needs, then talk you through all your design options inside and out and, if required, manage any external issues such as planning permission, utility connections, groundworks, handling anything you do not want to, right through to a full turnkey service. Answering all your questions and with you from enquiry to handing over the keys and beyond. 


When we know your precise requirements and have discussed all your options and made sure your building is going to be absolutely perfect for your needs, we will create a CAD drawing (plan) detailing every element of the project and the cost of the whole project including the building, transport, and any other associated costs for your approval. 

Order & Sign Off 

The initial plan can be amended, of course, as required. When you are completely happy and ready to order and have acquired planning permission, (remember we can do this for you if required) we will take a deposit, then allocate a production slot and advise a delivery date.  


All the unique elements of your building, windows, flooring, and lighting, will be sourced from our approved supplier base and held in our factory ready for the start of production. A construction team of skilled craftsmen will then construct your building(s) starting with the robust steel frame that gives all Springfield buildings an extended life span, then adding all the other components, internal rooms, walls, floors, and roof, followed by all the plumbing, electrical and internal decoration and floor covering, interior and exterior finish.

Taking full advantage of the efficiencies available from factory-based construction which includes all the high-tech equipment on hand and the benefit of constructing without any danger of interruption by the weather! Factory-based production also enables a much more disciplined environment with safety & quality control procedures easier to implement and monitor.  


Your Project Manager will liaise with any on-site activity such as groundworks, foundations drainage, landscaping utility connections to ensure the site is ready for delivery and installation of your units and schedule our team to complete the installation, connect to the utilities and make sure it is “good to go.” This can take a few hours, or in the case of multi-unit installations – a few days to connect all the buildings and utilities. 

Transport to Site 

Transport of the building is also managed and coordinated by your Project Manager using custom-built HIAB vehicles or accompanied by a crane if a major project. The site will have been surveyed early in the process to identify potential issues and ensure delivery can be a smooth and efficient exercise.
