Having worked for many decades in the production of portable buildings, its direct applications to societal infrastructure is obvious to us. We thought therefore, to demonstrate these benefits, it would be interesting to have a look at an example where the introduction of modular buildings provides a measured solution to a growing problem.
It was wrapped in controversy when the vote came to Parliament, but Heathrow airport’s third runway expansion is now arguably the most prominent project in the nation’s construction sector. What is even more interesting however, as it has recently been revealed, is that the airport has been consulting offsite manufacturers up and down the country in a plan to build as much as the expansion as possible away from the airport.

It seems that, in an attempt to strengthen the building blocks of the future of the UK construction sector, the Government have now turned their eye to the benefits of offsite construction too. And it’s got us excited.
