Based in Newcastle, The Great North Run is the second largest half marathon in the world, attracting over 56,000 entries globally. And our National Sales Manager, Neil Appleby, recently completed it in support of the Stroke Association in remembrance of our founder Ken Britner, who sadly passed away earlier this year.
The race was won by Mo Farah, the UK’s multiple gold medal winner - with Neil close behind in 38,860th place. Neil insisted he would have given Mo more of a run for his money, but was running so fast that his shoelaces kept coming loose and he had to keep stopping to tie them!
Neil’s efforts have been rewarded, with more than £850.00 already contributed. Donations are still welcome and can be made here.
Well done Neil, the Britner and Springfield family are very proud of you for your commitment and contribution to such a worthy cause.
